Yeah, Click on Overview, then just to the right where it says Colony click it It should take you into a screen where you can edit the name

Click on Fleet, then click max where it says colony ship and continue.
Then tick the Colonise box and choose what Galaxy:System:Planet you are wanting to colonise on

I think it stands for Debris Field, when people attack it leaves behind debris, and you can use a recycler to collect that debris and re-use it as resources

If you mean should you build defenses? Then yes definetely but I think it depends what else you have built already.
To be honest im not exactly and experienced player Maybe someone else can give you some better advice

At this time extremely difficult I think, but as the game advances and players get stronger fleets, no doubt there will be loads popping up

Not sure the exact definition but in this context basically it means expendable/cheap, defences/ships. Used in small numbers they wont accomplish much, but lots of them should be quite effective, for example Rocket Launchers & Light Lasers. Not at all, you had a valid question and im sure before even considering building a Death Star I would have had to ask those very questions

It does seem like the ultimate weapon, but I doubt ill be getting one for a very long time
