I played it a bit in high school. It was mandated in gym class. Can't say I'm an expert.

Hmm i guess it was just one persons quote that got really popular in badminton world.

Badminton ranked at 9th now. thats not so popular. you are right. but still more popular than american football or motor sports or cycling.
