Re: Funny lyric misinterpretations

I tease my wife all the time about this one...

We were listening to System of a Down one day... she is singing and something sounds off, sooo I listen...

Correct - Yet you feed us lies from the table cloth
Wife's version - you feed me lies from the pickle farm

To this day (2 years or so later) I still send her text messages every once and a while with that line.

I've heard misheard lyrics of the same song, heheh. I literally almost fell out of my chair laughing (because I know the band and their songs really well). Here were a few of the lines:

Correct: You depend on our protection!
Misheard: You, the panda, are protection!

Correct: Hangars sitting dripped in oil, crying, "Freedom!"
Misheard: Kansas City dripped in oil, dry...CLEANERSSSS!

Correct: Barbarism with Barbara in pointed heels.
Misheard: My God is a faithful God, with fighting eeeeeels!

Wow really? That's legitimate.

Another one...from the band Deerhoof.

Correct: I would sell my soul to the devil, if I could be your co-of evil.
Misheard: I would sell my sould to demo, if I could be your cocoa pebble.
