The premise is good. There are some ships that are, quite simply, bollox. Cruisers as you said, what's the point? Apart from being quick, they're rubbish for anything. They could fill a role as at the moment, they're useless.

Depending on the server, the use of different classes fails. People build an enormous amount of two or three classes only.
