i like this as I mine on 20 planets and fleet on 1 so I could do something mine related on the 20 but still have access to the exclusive ship.

I prefer the idea of races or w.e that you EITHER get the bonus of mining or fleeting for example, otherwise too much advantage could be taken. But I like the idea, lets hear some more!
Im thinking something like if the three governments are as suggested fleeting mining or research, a big ship for combat, additional mining ship types, or a mobile research ship tpe thing.

yeah different ship types could be cool like the carrier for fleeter style of race or govt and like a bigger jump cargo and a shield ship that can boost defence for miner/traders but is just an example of how it could work and boost specialisation for specific styles of play

For the miners I was thinking something like you build a mining ship, and for every ship of that type your mine production isincreased by 1%. Obviously theyd be expensive, and Im thinking not work on deut. But the research ship could decrease the cost and increase the speed of researches done on the planet its based on. For Fleeters maybe just a BFG ship, or a tech that makes them faster.

there is another game out there where you can choose between 4 races and each race has a "special ship" and bonuses such as plus %10 res production

i think would be quite cool to have but i would prefer 2-3 new ship types instead and/or adjust the prices and stats of current ships to increase strategy

decrease price of cruisers slightly
increase price of light fighters slightly

and a new ship super star destroyer about 3x times as powerful as destroyer would be cool (with RF over the 4 other capital ships) 8-)

i like this idea. new races are nice but not necessary. you can have factions, they would all have different ideologies and focus for development. switching between the factions should not be too easy.

i have a few ideas that might be interesting. i will type them out tomorrow after i get some sleep
