At the moment it is impossible to go back and edit a message in the alliance chat as the whole message deletes if you try. It is very annoying. Please edit the programming.

Yeah...you can use the arrow keys but I agree that there should be another way

I've had the misfortune of accidentally clicking out of the chatbox while typing a rather long message. I agree that it should be changed.

the 'clear message' functionality is on mouse RELEASE
it also brings up the 'send message' button.

the workaround I use is to click and hold inside and then drag outside of the box before releasing to not lose my message. play around with it a bit to figure out something that works for you.

This is more of a bug and should have been fixed a while ago tbh... surprised that it hasn't really been brought up on the forums before... I suppose a lot of people just live with it. if you have a long/serious message more likely you're using circulars...
